The undisputed king of mineral pigments: "Malachite"

In 1798, Louis-Nicolas Vauquelin, a French chemist, was searching for a new element called "beryllium" and smashed a priceless emerald gemstone in the process.

The world knows of Walker's great chemical achievements, but few know that he ground his emerald gemstones into fine powder and sold them to paint dealers as pigments, earning a considerable sum of money.

People discovered these anecdotes in his notes, where Walker was boasting about the tiny bottle of emerald paint in his hand to a paint supplier during a bargaining session, calling it "the greatest green," only to be met with a smile from the supplier and informed that it was far inferior to "verditer."

Yes, when we ask, which mineral pigment is the absolute king among all mineral pigments? It seems that every shanqu pigment creator agrees on its name: "malachite."

The emerald green of malachite conveys a sense of otherworldliness that seems to come from the heavens. In addition to its unparalleled "color saturation," it also possesses a "glassy" quality that is unique to this mineral pigment.

Like a dream, like a poem, like a painting.

The green copper ore pigment made by Shanqu has only one process, which is "picking." We will grind the pigment to about 80 mesh, then use tweezers to carefully select and remove tiny impurities as fine as salt grains. This process takes 2-3 months and is extremely arduous, but the resulting color powder is enough to make one's heart bloom with joy and be captivated by its beauty.
