Shanqu Natural Mineral Pigments - "Dunhuang Earth"
Many friends believe that making soil-based pigments is the easiest, i.e. digging up the earth, washing it with clean water, and drying it.
But this is a completely wrong concept.
The truly high-quality soil-based pigments are actually the most challenging for pigment makers to produce, because the soil that has undergone complex processing looks almost the same as the unprocessed soil, but the purity of the interior has undergone a huge difference.
After obtaining high-quality soil raw materials, Shanqu first goes through the "lipid removal" step, which can effectively kill the microbial organic matter and water-soluble substances remaining in the soil.
Then, we use a super magnetic separator with huge magnetic force to extract all the microscopic iron-containing substances from the soil.
After these steps, the soil is now extremely pure. Next, we use a ball mill to continuously grind it for 48 hours to enhance the soil slurry's smoothness and fineness, then dry it and remove the water, crushing the lumps of soil into fine powder, and packaging it for sale.
This is the highest quality soil pigment, with the attitude and warmth it should have.
